L'ensemble de trois disques (deux CD + DVD) contient le Vol. 1, Vol. 3 avec des titres bonus et un DVD avec un mini-documentaire True History of The Travelling Wilburys et les cinq vidéoclips. Emballé dans un digipack et comprend un livret de 16 pages. Les Travelling Wilburys étaient un supergroupe anglo-américain composé de Bob Dylan, George Harrison, Jeff Lynne, Roy Orbison et Tom Petty. Le groupe a enregistré deux albums en 1988 et 1990, bien qu'Orbison soit décédé avant l'enregistrement du second. Malgré la mort d'Orbison, les membres restants du groupe ont enregistré le deuxième et dernier album studio, qu'ils ont intentionnellement mal numéroté Travelling Wilburys Vol. 3. Le titre de l'album est attribué à "George étant George" - apparemment Harrison faisait une référence ironique à l'apparition d'un bootleg qui servait en quelque sorte de volume 2.
