The seven-piece vocal R&B group Naturally 7 may have left their strictly a capella approach behind for 2008's READY II FLY (there are discernible instruments threaded throughout the album), but that doesn't diminish the dazzling impact of their vocal prowess. Beatboxing, human sampling, quirky effects, and spot-on harmonies are still the order of the day on these 18 tracks. From hip-hop-inflected opener "Can Ya Feel It?" to gospel-tinged closer "True Friends (and Family)," Naturally 7 remind us there are few instruments as powerful or compelling as the human voice.
